Ion George Brown (1942 - )
was an impressionist painter of landscapes, as can be seen from this oil of boys swimming in the Tuki Tuki River. He attended King Edward Technical College in Dunedin and had private tuition from the artist Peter Brown.
Ion Brown was the official New Zealand army artist from 1987-1997. He
is represented in the New Zealand Government Collection.
